Sam Keates set up Fusion Training to provide affordable first aid training in and around St Albans, Hertfordshire. As time has gone on, he has found himself working across the country delivering a range of courses to people who work in all sorts of industries in all sorts of places.
Whether it’s HSE regulated courses in the workplace, paediatric first aid for carers and parents or e-courses for those who want to study at their own pace, Fusion training programmes are all about making first aid relevant and equipping people with the life skills to really make a difference.
Sam is a member of the Education and Training Foundation, and the National Back Exchange. He holds appropriate teaching and assessing qualifications as well as a fully enhanced DBS certifcate. The majority of courses that Fusion Training teach are Regulated (Regulated Qualification Framework) courses, awarded through Training Qualifications UK. Many of the courses delivered also have CPD (Continued Professional Development) statements.
Proof of Instructor qualifications, insurance and other relevant documents can be provided if necessary.
Sam has sat through many first aid courses throughout his career and knows that they are often not the most exciting way to spend a day! From this experience he developed the Fusion Training way of delivering courses. The aim is to make them as interesting as possible, providing plenty of chances to ask questions and to look at industry specific issues where he can. All course candidates should hopefully come away with new skills and have had a fun and enjoyable day – and Sam knows from first hand experience that a lot of companies do not make learning fun!
When he’s not training, Sam can be found volunteering in a number of roles (often as a First Aider!) with the Scout and Guide Association and the Hovercraft Club of Great Britain. Otherwise he’ll be working on his LandRover and enjoying time with his wife and young daughter.
